Model Requirements

If you are interested in applying to be a model in one of our aesthetics classes, you have come to the right place! 

We believe in setting up our students for success by providing as many opportunities for guided practice as possible. With your help and our instructor's supervision, students are able to gain practicum experience on the best canvas - real people. 

 

Candidates must meet the requirements outlined below in order to be eligible.

  • FOR ALL COURSES, MODELS MUST NOT:

    • Be pregnant or breastfeeding.

    • Have had cancer within the last few years.

    • Have a needle or scalpel phobia.

    • Have any skin infections.

    • Be prone to keloids.

    • Have any blood clotting disorders.

  • MICRONEEDLING MODELS MUST NOT:

    • Have active acne, bleeding disorders, active herpes simplex, eczema, severe rosacea or psoriasis.

    • Have taken Accutane in the 12 months leading up to treatment.

    • Receive IPL/laser procedures or unprotected sun exposure for 2 weeks prior.

    • Use blood thinning agents (aspirin, fish oil, omega-3 and vitamin E) for 1 week prior.​

       

Note: Topical agents such as retinoids, topical antibiotics, exfoliants, alpha hydroxyl acids or beta hydroxyl acids, salicylic acids and benzoyl peroxide acne products may increase increase sensitivity of skin during treatment.

  • IPL/LASER MODELS MUST NOT:

    • Have taken Accutane in the 12 months leading up to treatments​.

    • Have had excessive sun exposure in the four weeks leading up to treatment (tanning beds included).

    • Have waxed or plucked in the 2-3 weeks leading up to treatment (shaving is fine).

  • LASH LIFT AND TINT MODELS MUST NOT:​​​

    • Have lash disorders or diseases.

    • Wear contacts during application.

  • EYELASH EXTENSION MODELS MUST NOT:

    • Be wearing eyelash extensions.

    • Be allergic to cyanoacrylates/adhesives.

    • Have eye infections or inflammation of the skin surrounding the eye.

    • Wear contacts during application.​​

Models must be over the age of 18, and will be required to sign the appropriate consent forms should your application be accepted.

 

Models may be asked to sign a photo consent form, granting permission to GLAMMED Canada to photograph, record, or otherwise capture your image for promoting, publicizing or educational purposes. However, applicants are not obligated to release photo consent rights to qualify as a model. 

A class model and a student

Models should be aware that their failure to attend or lack of punctuality negatively impacts a student's opportunity to gain hands-on experience. Please demonstrate courtesy in communicating absolutely any attendance changes.

 

A no-show or last-minute cancellation (less than 48 hours before your scheduled modelling time) will result in an applicant's eligibility being entirely revoked for all future modelling opportunities.

All paid services are considered non-refundable.
