How To Become A

Model

(In an aesthetics class)

If you are interested in applying to be a model in one of our aesthetics classes, you have come to the right place! 

We believe in setting up our students for success by providing as many opportunities for guided practice as possible. With your help and our instructor's supervision, students are able to gain practicum experience on the best canvas - real people. 

To qualify as an eligible model, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • MICRONEEDLING MODELS

    • Models cannot have active acne, bleeding disorders, skin infections, active herpes simplex, eczema, severe rosacea or psoriasis.

    • Models cannot have taken Accutane in the 12 months leading up to treatment

    • Topical agents such as retinoids, topical antibiotics, exfoliants, alpha hydroxyl acids or beta hydroxyl acids, salicylic acids and benzoyl peroxide acne products may increase increase sensitivity of skin during treatment.

    • Models should avoid IPL/laser procedures or unprotected sun exposure for 2 weeks prior

    • Model should avoid blood thinning agents (aspirin, fish oil, omega-3 and vitamin E) for 1 week prior

  • MICROBLADING MODELS
     

    • Models cannot have previous tattooing or microblading of the eyebrows

    • Models cannot have moles, birthmarks or unhealed scars in the brow area

    • Models cannot have psoriasis, major acne, burns or sunburns in the brow area
       

  • LASER/IPL MODELS
     

    • Models must not have taken Accutane in the 12 months leading up to treatments​

    • Models must not have had increased sun exposure in the four weeks leading up to treatment (tanning beds; excessive sun tanning)

    • Models must not have waxed or plucked in the 2-3 weeks leading up to treatment (shaving is OK)

Models cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding at the time of the procedures.

Models must be over the age of 18, and will be required to sign the appropriate consent forms should your application be accepted.

 

Models may be asked to sign a photo consent form, granting permission to GLAMMED Canada to photograph/video/otherwise capture your image for promoting, publicizing or educational purposes. Applicants are not obligated to release photo consent rights to qualify as a model. 

Models should be aware that their failure to attend or lack of punctuality negatively impacts a student's opportunity to gain hands-on experience. Please demonstrate courtesy in communicating absolutely any attendance changes.

 

A no-show or last-minute cancellation (less than 48 hours before your scheduled modelling time) will result in an applicant's eligibility being entirely revoked for all future modelling opportunities.
